Responsible for the planning and safe execution of the service provision contracts of 3BB Contracting Pty Ltd. The initial Project accountabilities will be GYRS and Saraji rehabilitation Project. It is recognised that the “Responsibilities” of the role may vary as the work on hand and in the development pipeline varies. Any changes will be discussed and reasonably agreed by the Board and the Operations Manager. The interface with the 3BB Operations Manager is critical. In general all tasks required to execute a project are the responsibility of this role.

Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Projects, Office & Project sites
Reports to: 3BB Operations Manager

  • Safe and Efficient Operations
    • Lead and manage the work in accordance with internal 3BB Policies, the relevant mining legislation and SHMS for 3BB and client operations as required
    • Lead a team and ensure personnel adhere to the compliance requirements and also support the development of a safe and efficient working culture
    • Ensure the project remains compliant from a labour and equipment perspective – manage the various systems site has in order to track the compliance.
  • Contract tendering
    • Support of contract tendering processes
    • Support in the development of the execution strategy that is consistent with agreed risk profile for the tendering of new projects
  • Operations management
    • Manage the resources (labour and equipment) required to mobilise and execute the operations for the various projects 3BB is executing.
    • Manage the overall performance and delivery of the projects.
    • Anage the site reporting to the client and for internal processes required to manage performance, invoicing and payroll, plant and asset management.
    • Maintain a site risk register that is live to the projects risks from a safety as well as a business perspective.
    • Manage the project in accordance with the project tender submission.
    • Report on the performance – productivity, maintenance and financial, safety, HR and other.
  • Plant and Asset Management
    • Maintain the plant and asset register for the project
    • Manage the maintenance plan and maintenance required on a planned basis for all equipment
    • Organise for breakdown maintenance support and provision of parts as required.
    • Liasse with suppliers of labour, equipment, maintenance and supplies as necessary to support the project execution.
  • Client
    • Liasse with the client for project related meetings and any other requirements the client has.
    • Attend and participate in any client related safety or other training, risk assessments or incident reviews as required.
    • Communicate with the 3BB operations management leadership as well as the support administration.
  • Human Resources
    • Assist in the recruitment of personnel for each project
    • Manage the HR whilst onsite and request support as required.
    • Maintain a attendance and performance register for all personnel.
    • Manage leave and rosters as well as training requirements for the team.
  • Contract Execution
    • Execution of the mobilisation and contract execution plans
    • Liaising with the Operations Management and Board on potential contract execution risks and recommendation of mitigants
  • Financial reporting
    • Tracking of daily costs and supporting the weekly and monthly financial reporting as required.
    • Support the requirements of the periodic claims and prepare as required
    • Prepare and communicate the financial performance of the business.
  • Continuous improvement
    • Implement a culture of performance and continuous improvement.
  • Roster & Hours
    • Full time
    • Weekdays with standard public holidays, however flexibility will required during tendering and ramp up periods
