Barada Barna is committed to creating real employment and training pathways for our people. One of the key ways we do this is through 3BB Contracting, our 100 percent Indigenous owned and operated company. 3BB Contracting offers a range of jobs in mine rehabilitation, heavy machinery operation, earthworks, site admin and cultural heritage services. A large part of the team is made up of Barada Barna people, working on Country and building strong careers.

Barada Barna has built strong partnerships to support economic development, cultural preservation and long-term opportunities for our people.
We have Indigenous Land Use Agreements (ILUAs) in place with several mining companies across the Bowen Basin, aimed at creating employment and contracting opportunities for our people.
We also have a strong partnership in place with Thiess, where we work together to open up employment, subcontracting and supply opportunities for Barada Barna people and Traditional Owner businesses.
With Greening Australia, we are part of the Queensland Indigenous Land Conservation Project (QILCP), co-designing and delivering on Country projects that improve water quality and support local jobs. We also have a Memorandum of Understanding with Greening Australia that supports seed collection, training and ecological restoration.
Barada Barna works closely with native seed suppliers across Queensland to support mine site rehabilitation, ensuring native species and traditional ecological knowledge are part of restoring Country. We make sure local native seeds are used in rehab projects across our lands.
Through these partnerships, Barada Barna is helping to build a strong future, support our culture and create real opportunities for our people to work, grow and stay connected to Country.
